What was the highlight of Roc Jungle Tulum

So cute…loved it!

I loved the little individual hut..or bungalow. The jungle location was cool and I liked walking the short distance down a lovely dirt road to the main drag. Nice and quiet location but easy access to everything.

My shower was wonky. Water basically only came out from a small part of the shower head.

Good but not at the level of the price compared to other hotels in Tulum

The location was amazing, as well as the size and cleanliness of the room. The beach access and beach beds were great and looking like the pictures.

The shower's water was salty, Raccoons in the ceiling making so much noise it was impossible to sleep some nights, the staff was not really responsive to any issue we had. The beach bar was not always supplied with drinks.

Not great value, but we had a nice stay - breakfast is minscule.

Large Comfy bed, great A/C, beach club location and pool were great.

Power cut happened a couple of times, breakfast was rather poor - some fruit and a bread roll basically (worst I saw on a 3 week trip). Ungodly expensive bar menu, with medium quality drinks.

great base for Tulum

very big room and bed. set in the jungle and back from the main drag so quiet. there is a tut tut that can take you down the lane from the Main Street to the rooms but it’s not that long so we walked a lot. Beach club was really pretty

only thing was that they charged us $15 because one of the towels had make up on. the shower has clear doors and windows to outside. we were ok with it. we ordered wine at the beach club, they didn’t have a menu and only two Mexican wines available…. got the bill… turned out to be over $100

Overpriced stay

The location, the jungle rooms were nice and quiet yet we had access to the beach. The beach club is also very pretty. The restaurant staff are nice and approachable.

A few things to mention: The prices at the beach club, way above the prices at other clubs and in general overpriced. The breakfast was not very generous and we were pushed to consume paying dishes every time. The hotel staff charged us 40 dollars for a cheap adaptator ( 20/30 pesos on Amazon...), more focused on charging us the max than actually providing good customer service.

great week at a great location with great weather

Close to Tulum Beach and everything you want to be around. Staff was helpful with getting us ATV rentals and recommendations and taxis

Food at the restaurant was not the best and they shouldn’t charge you for waters in your room since there is no running water in Tulum but overall a great stay

staff in reception was really nice! they try to help us, that our vacation was nice.

For this price you have just one continental breakfast, tea or coffee, orange juice, one plate with fruit, one joghurt and some two small baguette for two people! so its not enough. Beach was full with seaweed, nobody clean beach and entrance to ocean was terrible. Another beaches was some how clean, but this no. Beachbar was one big catastrophe!!.. When we asked for drink menu, they said that they don’t have drink menu, but they have all drinks which you wanna. So we ordered 2 corona and price was 220 pesos, when we wanted pay price was already 360 just for 2 corona withouth tips. Second day was Corona costing already 180pesos. When my boyfriend asked what is this, they start be nervous and that is normal and bla bla. At the end we found one guy who show us price for corona and it was 140pesos! So be careful for what you are paying! Prices was changed every 10minutes.

Very Good

The hotel is great, however, Roc Jungle is not the same as Roc Luxe. it takes about 10 min walking or a quick ride with their Tuk Tuk. anyway, I enjoyed my stay, the room is big and comfortable.

Wi-Fi doesn’t work at about 90% of the rooms from the Jungle. it only works at Roc Luxe which is at the beach.

This star will have you in tune with nature.

I liked the attention the staff gave. It is a very laid back environment. I enjoyed that the hotel offered convenient ways to pay and to transport to and from the room.

They failed to mention the "jungle experience" inplied that it might include less privacy in the room. For example, the shower in our room was completely see-through and there was another room that was located outside the shower. When we asked the front desk if that was normal they stated it was the "experience". I would say that if you are ok with that then it is definitely a great choice. We were somewhat uncomfortable with that. The best area to have WiFi is in the Villas section. If you stay in the jungle section expect no WiFi and service.

Overpriced for the quality and service.

The bungalows are cute. Amenities are lacking however. Lobby area is pretty. Beach club is nice.

There were leaks everyday that did not get fixed. They did not move us rooms or refund us. The complimentary breakfast is really just a small portion of fruit and bread rolls. The Tuk Tuks rarely came on time so prepare to have long time consuming walks to get from your room to the main road. They also would say they were coming to deliver requests and never show (example coffee). Did not clean the room everyday. Much nicer hotels nearby.

I think hands down the best property in Tulum. The service from the staff is so professional. They take care of everything. Julio and Rafa are the man!!!! Awesome stay and will stay here again next time in Tulum. Can’t express that enough.

Avoid if possible.

The room looked cool.

We showed up for our booking and the power was off at the main desk, so we waited about 2 hours before convincing them to let us use one of the dirty hotel rooms to shower before we went out. Once we arrived you have to take a golf cart into the jungle. The room itself is unique but not what I expected for $400 a night. The floors are dirty and there is no hot water. The shower has no drains so it kind of just overflows into your room. There was a dead roach in our bathroom. The Golf carts that take you to through the jungle to the actual beach were rarely there so you have to walk 10 minutes down a dirt road to get anywhere. The last night our friends went to sit by the beach and got ambushed by security demanding we pay the full hotel fee before we checked out. I booked on booking so just assumed they took payment already? On checkout it was supposed to be US$2,592 which what was stated on Booking, but after checking my card they charged me $3200. They are now emailing me demanding I pay $155 USD for some water and pringles we ate from the mini bar...

Staff at the beach club we very friendly and helpful/professional

I requested a beach front room and was told there were none available. The first room they gave me was unfinished and didn’t even have a toilet seat. When I told management this I was then moved to a beach front room (that I had previously been told was not available) No wi fi available in the rooms so had to go to a friends hotel to be able to work. Was overcharged at check in and was told it was a “hold” when queried it after seeing how much was taken from my account. I checked again when I returned home and this was when they finally admitted that they did over charge me. Asked for a receipt to be emailed at the time of check in, never received it. Spent a week asking 2 of the managers to please send me my breakdown/receipt and for some reason they were unable to produce - after saying each time it would be sent. For around £800 per night, I would expect a lot more. Would not return
